Whether for an open house, garage sale, or political campaign, yard signs are a popular way to help get the word out. Here are a few photos from Code Compliance showing the right and wrong ways to display them.

Other helpful tips:

  • Signs should be placed on private property with the owner's permission and on public property as expressly permitted by the appropriate governing body.
  • Signs including pennants, ribbons, streamers, spinners, or wind-operated devices are not permitted.
  • Signs in violation will be removed by Code Compliance officers.
