Vice Mayor and Zone 4 City Commissioner Randy Hartman will host the fifth and final New Smyrna Beach City Commission town hall of 2019 in the Alonzo “Babe” James Community Center located at 201 N Myrtle Ave. on Monday, Nov. 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
“There will be an open discussion about annexation, projects underway, projects in the current budget, and a question & answer session,” said Vice Mayor Hartman.
New Smyrna Beach’s Zone 4 generally covers the southwest quadrant of the city to include the neighborhoods of Fairway, Historic Westside, South West, Pioneer Trail, the S.R. 44 Corridor, Lake Waterford Estates, the I-95 Activity Center, Glencoe, North Village (including Venetian Bay), and South Village.
This event marks the final town hall in a series of five as the City of New Smyrna Beach continues to make citizen engagement a priority in 2019. Mayor Russ Owen hosted the first in the Alonzo “Babe” James Community Center on Feb. 18 followed by Zone 1 Commissioner Michael Kolody in the Coronado Civic Center on Apr. 5, Zone 2 Commissioner Jake Sachs in the Brannon Center on Jun. 13, and Zone 3 Commissioner Jason McGuirk in the New Smyrna Beach Garden Club on Oct. 4.
Note: One or more city commissioners may also be present at this town hall.
