The Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce’s Next Gen Leads NSB group recently adopted Riverside Park at 299 S. Riverside Dr. through the City of New Smyrna Beach’s Adopt-a-Park program.
As the park is located in Zone 2, City Commissioner Jake Sachs was also on hand to commemorate the occasion.
“We are proud to take on some of the upkeep of Riverside Park because of its close location to our home at the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce and all of the events that it hosts. You can follow us on Facebook or Instagram for upcoming park clean-ups and social events!” said Next Gen Leads NSB representative Arielle VanEck.
Next Gen Leads NSB is a Chamber committee focused on young professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s that hosts monthly social gatherings on the second Tuesday of each month. SpringHill Suites at 512 Flagler Ave. in New Smyrna Beach will host the next social on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
Adopt-a-Park participant responsibilities include patrolling and cleaning their park every week and reporting ideas and comments to the City’s Parks Division monthly.
