Brannon Center (105 South Riverside Drive) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Building on 2018’s Coastal Community Resiliency (CCR) efforts, this workshop is part of a grant funded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to help the city foster local resilience. The objective of this workshop is to utilize what was accomplished through CCR sessions and engage experts, stakeholders, staff, and residents in the conversation of resiliency to gather input related to concerns, opportunities, and needs. The evening will consist of presentations covering a broad spectrum—ranging from an overview of sea level rise to our Comprehensive Plan’s Coastal Management Element—and group exercises aimed at addressing the aforementioned goals. Ultimately, the outcome of this workshop will help the city develop real world solutions to address and direct strategies, priorities, and actionable steps.
