Share your thoughts about Americans’ favorite books from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway.

Staff will show the finale of “The Great American Read” television series and then lead a discussion about the top 25 books.

The eight-part TV series aired on PBS and concluded Oct. 23. It included documentary segments and testimonials from celebrities, authors and others across the country. While the show was running, viewers were invited to go online and vote for their favorite novel or series from 100 choices.

Spoiler alert: Americans chose “To Kill a Mockingbird” as their best-loved book. Runners-up were the “Outlander” series, the “Harry Potter” series, “Pride and Prejudice” and “The Lord of the Rings” series.

Registration is not required for this free program. For more information, call the library at 386-424-2910, option 4.
