SYNOPSIS: City Ordinance Violation (Abandoned Vehicle) – 170 N. Causeway (New Smyrna Beach East Boat Ramp).  A trailer was observed to have been in the parking lot for several weeks, and after further inspection the trailer did not have a tag.  A ten day notice was placed on the trailer and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS: Mentally Ill Person – 500 Block of Ronnoc Lane.  A juvenile male was observed acting erratically and being a danger to himself.  The juvenile was placed into protective custody (Baker Act) and transported to Halifax Behavioral Center without incident.

SYNOPSIS:  Disturbance (Domestic) – 701 Eleanor Avenue.  A male and female were involved in an argument.  No violence or threat of violence occurred and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Assist Other Agency – 535 Greenlawn Street.  Officers took a statement from a person who advised of a possible sex offense. After further investigation, the location of the incident was determined to be in Volusia County’s jurisdiction.  The Sheriff’s Department was made aware and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – 101 N. Riverside Drive (Captains Quarters).  Two vehicles, minor damage, no injuries, and one citation issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Felony Arrest – 300 Block of Live Oak Street.  A 41 year old male, Jami Smith, was placed under arrest for driving with a suspended driver’s license, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation.  He was transported to the jail without incident.

SYNOPSIS:  Animal Complaint – 3320 Marsili Avenue.  The reporting person advised she was scratched by a neighbor’s dog yesterday, that was running loose.  A report was taken by Animal Control for further investigation.
