SYNOPSIS:   Information – 246 Industrial Park Avenue (New Smyrna Beach Police Department).  The reporting person advised he received an unusual check from an unknown person trying to purchase some items he was selling.   No crime was committed, and the reporting person believed it to be a scam.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:   Harassing Calls – 1100 Block of Fairvilla Drive.  Report taken to document an unknown male trying to extort money from the reporting person via online applications.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – S.R. 44/Colony Park Road.  Two vehicles, moderate damage, no injuries, and one citation issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Fraud – 4154 Michigan Avenue.  The reporting person advised that he paid a contractor to build a swimming pool and paid him a large deposit.  After several months of minimal work was performed.  Ongoing investigation.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash408 Eleanore Avenue (New Smyrna Beads).  Single vehicle backed into a building, minor damage, no injuries, and one citation issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Sex Offender Contact – 500 Block of Faulkner Street.  Officers contact a sex offender while investigating a suspicious person in the area.  No crime committed, and report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  City Ordinance – 1835 S.R. 44 (Winn Dixie).  An abandoned vehicle was located in parking lot, unregistered.  The officer was unable to locate the owner and a 10 day notice was placed on the vehicle and will be follow up on.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – 157 Sand Pine Place.  Two vehicles, minor damage, no injuries, and one citation issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Suspicious Incident – 2600 Turnbull Estates Drive.  The reporting person advised that an unknown person cut down several of his Yupon Trees.  The tree bordered another property and it is unknown if the trees were cut down maliciously.  Ongoing investigation.
