SYNOPSIS:  Information – 246 Industrial Park Avenue (New Smyrna Beach Police Department).  A report was taken to document the emptying of the prescription drug drop-off box located in the lobby of the police department.

SYNOPSIS: Traffic Crash – 2000 Block of N Dixie Freeway.  A single vehicle struck a coyote, minor damage, no injuries, and no citations issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Mentally Ill Person – 4200 Block of Saxon Drive.  A juvenile female was observed making suicidal statements, and was placed into protective custody (Baker Act).  The female was transported to the Halifax Behavioral Center without incident.

SYNOPSIS:  Retail Theft – 2450 S.R. 44 (Circle K).  The reporting person advised an unknown male was observed on surveillance video stealing several items.  The officers were unable to locate the male and the investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – Canal Street/Robert Street.  Two vehicles, minor damage, no injuries, and one citation issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Battery – 414 Flagler Avenue (Flagler Tavern).  The victim advised she was inappropriately touched by a known male several days ago.   The victim did not want to pursue charges at this time and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Information – 1200 S Myrtle Avenue (New Smyrna Beach Middle School).  A report was taken to document a student bringing a knife to school.  The student stated he forgot the knife was in his backpack and no crime was committed.
