SYNOPSIS:  Mentally Ill Person – 801 S. Atlantic Avenue #3103.  A male was located in the condo’s walkway extremely intoxicated and unable to care for himself.  The male was taken into protective custody (Marchman Act), and transported to Advent Health New Smyrna Beach for treatment.

SYNOPSIS:  Dead Person – 4000 Block of Bouchelle Drive.  A male was located deceased in his condo by a family member.  The death appeared to be from natural causes, and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – 2875 Neverland Drive.  Two vehicles, minor damage, no injuries, and no citations issued.

SYNOPSIS:  Theft – 2700 Block of S.R. 44.  A tire was stolen from a City of New Smyrna Beach sign board trailer sometime during the night.  The investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Retail Theft – 1050 N. Dixie Freeway (Dollar General).  A female was observed stealing multiple items from the store.  The female was identified by the officer and a complaint affidavit was completed.

SYNOPSIS:  Suspicious Incident – 620 N. Duss Street.  The reporting person advised he is unable to locate his deceased mother’s vehicle, and believes a family member may have taken it.  Unable to determine if a crime has been committed at this time and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Suspicious Incident – 1200 S. Myrtle Avenue (New Smyrna Beach Middle School).  The reporting person advised a rumor was going around the school that there was a weapon on campus.  After to speaking with several involved students, the rumor was determined to be false.  A report was taken for documentation.
