SYNOPSIS:  Mentally Ill Person – 1401 S. Atlantic Avenue (Best Western).  A male was observed acting erratically, hallucinating, and threating to harm employees.  The male was placed into protective custody (Baker Act), and transported to Halifax Hospital without incident.

SYNOPSIS:  Suspicious Incident – 2608 Glenwood Avenue.  The reporting person advised he was checking a relative’s vacation home and noticed several things appeared to have been disturbed.  There was no sign of forced entry and nothing appears missing.  At this time it is unknown if a crime occurred and report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Trespass Warning (Transient) – 201 S. Peninsula Avenue (Coronado Community United Methodist Church).  A male was issued trespass warning after he was located sleeping behind the abandoned business.

SYNOPSIS:  Information – 115 Orange Street (Upward Trend Academy).  The reporting person advised she has observed inappropriate behavior from one of the students and was concerned.  At this time there is no crime, but Department of Children and Families was notified and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Lost Property – 246 Industrial Park Avenue (New Smyrna Beach Police Department).  The reporting person advised she was visiting New Smyrna Beach this past weekend, and lost her wedding ring at an unknown location.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash – 218 N. Orange Street (Finger Lickin).  A single vehicle struck the building, minor damage, no injuries, and no citations issued.

SYNOPSIS: Misdemeanor Arrest – 600 Block of N. Riverside Drive.  A 40 year old male, James Nelson, was placed under arrest for having an open warrant out of Volusia County for failure to appear.  He was transported to the jail without incident.

SYNOPSIS:  Misdemeanor Arrest (Transient) – 101 Buenos Aires Street (Flagler Avenue Park).  A 49 year old male, Christopher Hall, was placed under arrest for resisting an officer without violence.  He was transported to the jail without incident.
