SYNOPSIS:  Dead Person – 200 Robert Street.  A male was found deceased in the apartment.  The death appeared to be from an apparent suicide, and the investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Burglary (Vehicle) – 1203 N. Atlantic Avenue.  The victim advised an unknown person entered his unsecured vehicle sometime during the night and stole several items.  The victim did not wish to pursue the matter and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  City Ordinance Violation – 2455 Boat Ramp Drive (Swoope Boat Ramp).  A 10-Day Notice was placed on an unregistered vehicle parked in the parking lot.  A report was taken for documentation at this time.

SYNOPSIS:  Trespass Warning (Transient) – 1724 S.R. 44 (Kmart).  A male was issued trespass warning after he was located sleeping behind the abandoned business.

SYNOPSIS:  Police Assist Other Agency – 1000 Live Oak Street.  Officers assisted the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department with securing a vehicle and collecting possible narcotics from a patient they were transporting.  Report taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS:  Found Property – 2510 N. Dixie Freeway (Enterprise Rent-A-Car).  The reporting person advised a vehicle was dropped off the business today, and while inspecting it they located a firearm inside of it.  The officer was able to locate the owner and the firearm was returned.

SYNOPSIS:  Mentally Ill Person – 900 Block of 11th Avenue.  A male made several suicidal statements and was placed into protective custody (Baker Act).  He was transported to Halifax Hospital by EVAC without incident.
