SYNOPSIS: Theft – 808 Fairway Drive.  The victim advised an unknown person stole several political signs from her front yard sometime during the night.  The investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Mentally Ill Person – 400 Block of South Myrtle Avenue.  A male was observed trying to injure himself and was placed into protective custody (Baker Act).  He was transported to Halifax Hospital by EVAC without incident.

SYNOPSIS:  Battery – 218 N. Orange Street (Finger Lickin BBQ and Wings).  The victim advised she was struck several times during an altercation that occurred at the business on Sunday.  The victim did not wish to pursue charges and a report was taken for documentation.

SYNOPSIS: Trespass Warning – 1001 S. Dixie Freeway (New Smyrna Library).  A male was issued a trespass warning at the request of management.

SYNOPSIS:  Found Property – 2514 N. Dixie Freeway.  The reporting person advised he found a knife in the parking lot.  The officer was unable to locate the owner and it was placed into evidence for safekeeping.

SYNOPSIS:  Vandalism – 1925 Jungle Road.  The victim advised an unknown person damaged her vehicle’s windshield sometime over the weekend.  The investigation is ongoing.

SYNOPSIS:  Traffic Crash (Hit and Run) – Granada Street/Desoto Drive.  Two vehicles, minor damage, no injuries, and the at-fault driver immediately left the scene without providing.
