From kicking the new year off on the right foot during the Mayor's Fitness Challenge in January to providing a cornucopia of holiday shopping options at the Flamingo Follies Holiday Art Show in November, the city's Leisure Services Department is responsible for organizing a year-round calendar of regular programs and special events focused on improving quality of life for our residents, businesses, and visitors of all ages.

Leisure Services staff are also responsible for managing and booking the city's various event venues. Please see links to the left in the blue column for further details.

Special Events

Special event applications are reviewed and approved during a bi-monthly meeting held in the Alonzo "Babe" James Community Center at 201 N. Myrtle Ave. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 1 p.m.
