Economic Development Advisory Board
The Economic Development Advisory Board was founded under Resolution No. 18-10 and last amended under Resolution No. 22-17, as it is the desire of the City Commission to solicit the assistance of a group of knowledgeable citizens regarding the City's economic development efforts.
The Economic Development Advisory Board shall consist of six regular members. The City Commission shall appoint five people who shall either reside in New Smyrna Beach or own a business in the City. The Utilities Commission of the City of New Smyrna Beach shall nominate one member of its governing board for appointment by the City Commission to serve as a non-voting member ex officio. Board members shall serve without compensation.

The Economic Development Advisory Board shall work with the City Manager or the City Manager's designee.
Wherever possible the City Commission shall appoint members to the Economic Development Advisory Board who have demonstrated expertise, training, education, or experience in operating a business, tourism, finance, real estate development, or another related field.
