The primary function of the Criminal Investigations Division is to conduct follow-up investigations of reported crimes. Detectives are tasked with collecting, evaluating, and submitting physical evidence to the FDLE Crime Lab. Additionally, they interview persons related to the crime (e.g. victims, witnesses, and suspects) and prepare the case for prosecution.

Without help from our community members, many crimes would remain unsolved. If you have information to help detectives solve a crime, we'd like to hear from you. Click here to submit a crime tip.
