The City of New Smyrna Beach wants to assure you that our local beach has not been affected at this time by the oil spill in the Gulf.  We will keep this page up-to-date with any information and/or change of status.

The New Smyrna "Beach" is under the jurisdiction of the County and you can access the Volusia County Beach Department website here.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has been designated the lead state agency for responding to potential impacts of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill along Florida’s shoreline. This website will serve as the primary location for updates and information on response actions and impacts to the state of Florida.
