Overview
The Board is composed of five members, two of whom must be residents of the City appointed by the City Commission and two of whom must be full-time firefighters elected by a majority of firefighters who are members of the plan. The fifth member must be chosen by a majority of the previous four members. The Fire Pension Board members serve two-year terms.

Responsibilities
The Board is solely responsible for administering the firefighters' pension trust fund.
