Easy Does It with Ivy
Session: November 11 – December 16, 2008 (6 weeks) Yoga

Tuesday and Thursday
Location: Brannon Center, 105 South Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach
Cost: Session I: $30 for residents and $38 for non-residents
Session II: $65 for residents and $73 for non-residents
 
This class follows the principles of Hatha Yoga and is taught by Ivy Weyrauch. It is specifically designed for Seniors. Call New Smyrna Beach Parks & Recreation for more information @ 424-2175.
Hatha Yoga with Cindy Robinson
Session: September 30 through December 16 / Tuesdays Yoga
  October 2 through December 18 / Thursdays
Day/Time: Beginners – Tuesdays or
Advanced - Thursdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Saturdays – 9:00-10:30 a.m. / minimum of 5 students
Location: Woman’s Club, 403 Magnolia Street
Saturday – Location to be announced
Cost: $42 for residents, $50 for non-residents
 
Cindy Robinson will be teaching this class designed to promote balance of body, mind and breath. Cindy is a certified Instructor I Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga is an active form of yoga with constant movement and coordinated breathing. Yoga’s benefits include strength, flexibility and relaxation. Please bring a non-stick mat to use in class.
 
Line Dance with June
Day/Time: Monday- 6:30 – 9:30 pm or Wednesday – 8:30 am – Noon Line Dance
Fall Session: September 29 - December 15 / Monday

Winter Session: January 5 – March 23 / Monday
  January 7 – March 25 / Wednesday

Cost: One Class -$57 for residents / $65 for non-residents
  Two classes - $81 for residents & $89 for non residents
 
Each class runs continuously for two and a half hours. During that time people come and go as desired. The first 30 minutes are devoted to Club Intro-an easy introduction to Country Line Dancing. The next 45 minutes are for Club One, where dances, including many basic line dances, are taught. The last half of each class is for Club Two and Three combined, with more complex steps and dances of varied rhythms and tempos.
 
Beginner Pilates with Kathie De Marco
Days: Tuesday and Thursday Pilates
Time: 10:30 -11:15 am
Cost: $35.00 for residents and $43.00 for non residents / monthly
Location: Woman’s Club, 403 Magnolia Street
 
Kathie DeMarco will be instructing a class with a series of exercises which are designed to improve posture, core, muscle strength, balance, coordination and flexibility. The class will utilize beginning mat work exercised and each student will be given options to challenge themselves with intermediate exercises as the session progresses. Each student must bring their own mat to class.
 
Tai Chi with Rhonda
Day/Time: Tuesday - 6:00 – 8:00 pm – Yang Style Tai Chi Tai Chi
  Wednesday - 1:00 – 2:30 pm – Easy Does It Tai Chi
Session I: July 8 or 9 through September 9 or 10
Session II: September 30 or October 1 through December 9 or 10
(Thanksgiving week off)
Cost: $50 for residents / $58 for non-residents per class
Location: City Gym, 1000 Live Oak Street
 
Rhonda Donahoo started her Tai Chi experience in 1988 attending a class offered by Daytona Beach Community College. After extensive training, Rhonda started teaching in 1995, while continuing her education in Tai Chi. The basic movements of Tai Chi form are linked together to create continuous moving meditative exercise. Proper practice of posture and breathing with the form movements are covered. Many of the movements of Tai Chi are various forms of based on Kung Fu movements, creating a slow moving self-defense system for your physical body. The meditative principles are based on nature and the balance of all living things.
