    Join the City of New Smyrna Beach and Florida Department of Environmental Protection to learn how to maintain mangroves for a beautiful view while complying with State regulations. This will be a review of mangrove trimming regulations in Florida, to include ecological and economic importance of mangroves, identification of mangrove species, definition of a riparian mangrove fringe, minimum height factors, need for a Professional Mangrove Trimmer (PMT), and common instances of non-compliance.     A culinary caravan rolls into the New Smyrna Beach Waterfront LOOP again on Friday, May 29. The gourmet food trucks will be set up from 5-9 p.m.along Historic Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach.
