The 68-acre New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex was built in four phases in 1998 around the Municipal Football Stadium at an original construction cost of $7.4 million plus donated services and materials from local citizens and businesses. The Complex is located at 1800 Turnbull Bay Road (next to the New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport) and includes:

  • Municipal Football Stadium
  • High School Baseball field
  • Four lighted youth baseball fields
  • Three lighted softball fields
  • Three lighted soccer fields
  • One lighted multi-purpose field
  • City maintenance garage/Sports Complex office building

The Sports Complex currently provides:

  • Organized youth sports activities that include football, baseball, softball, soccer and track and field.
  • Adult sports leagues including men’s and senior men’s softball and recreational soccer.
  • Open facilities for walking, running and other outdoor workouts, and family/friends gathering to play all sports.
  • Home athletic facilities for New Smyrna Beach High School Football, Baseball, Softball and Soccer and home facilities for football and soccer for both Spruce Creek High School and Atlantic High School.

Fun facts about the Sports Complex:

  • Approximate annual NSB Youth Sports participants: 1,500
  • Approximate annual NSP Adult Sports participants: 700
  • Approximate annual Volusia County high school athletic events: 80
  • Fields at the Sports Complex are prepped approximately 2,300 times per year with eight fields prepped per day on average

The New Smyrna Beach Sports Complex (NSBSC) provides the citizens of New Smyrna Beach with a vibrant epicenter of community athletics activities designed to provide a family-oriented environment and encourage the participation in athletics to enhance the quality of life in New Smyrna Beach. NSBSC pledges to provide high performance in athletics facilities, youth and adult sports leagues and business partnerships in order to achieve its annual goal – providing the highest performance in level of service.
